The FreeBMD Database was updated on Saturday, 3rd March 2007, bringing the number of online, freely available, distinct records, up to 130,794,586 (167,591,418 total records).
FreeBMD are transcribing the Civil Registration index of births, marriages and deaths for England and Wales, and are making the transcriptions freely available on their website.
